One thing worth noting about our transfers this season… if January is 50-70% reduced activity each year compared to Summer… and we had another Summer next year like this year… Within 2 seasons we’d have recruited brilliantly bought way less dead wood and focused on quality. This strategy we have now over a couple of years is way way stronger its just less WOW what if these 10 players all work excitement.

17. i don't see the need to replace him. i understand that we've come a long way from the 70s when taylor would individually scout players out and report directly to clough, but there's still something to be said for simplicity – half the issue with edu was that he created an extra layer of bureaucracy between the manager and the owner. plus apparently he's a bit of a helmet so good riddance

20. Edu was a lightning rod for what happens behind the scenes. NDA will mean that we’ll never know. What we do know is that M and has son meddle far too much. This might be acceptable in Greece but here things are far more unstable and require a degree of harmony. Maybe current events will prove it to be the case, but I doubt it. Sorry for Edu😢

23. I agree, it’s a moment to reflect on abject failure. The opportunity to progress the group of clubs and to have a joined up plan could have benefited all clubs. But personalities got in the way. Nuno was a twat and I’m pleased he left. Nuno’s light was already going out look at how Forest ended the previous season.

    Edu however was clearly put into a very senior role without the human skills to manage relationships. The ripples he created go beyond his relationship with Nuno.

    However, I am a Forest fan only. I love what Marinakis has done for the club and love his passion for not just Forest but all his clubs and football in general. His commitment to community is exceptional. But I’m happy for Forest to focus on Forest. But I do appreciate we can purchase players and pass on all the revenue costs and amortisation to Olympiacos, by loaning players.

27. Edu was there when SD got his marching orders after the Wolves game. Seen him fuming when Lucca missed a sitter and pacing around when the player met MrM.
    Someone needs to write a book on the last few years behind the scenes at Forest…please

29. Edu has been replaced actually. But this time the manager for the whole group is based in Greece , his name is Geoffrey Moncada and was at AC Milan before . For some reasons that dont worth mentioning , Greekfather wants to focus on Olympiacos this year .

30. From financial point of view he is successful . all the players he bought can be resold at similar price we bought them at least. And if some players like Hutchinson or Mcatee given more chances in PL , we can even have a profit . Now the question were the players he bought good at playing football? On the paper they were good and at young age, Kali, Backwa , Ndoye, Mcatee, Hutchinson, i dont remember any of us complaining when we bought them . But for most of them we will never find out if they could develop in our team. So my final opinion is that Edu wasnt that bad as more Forest fans think.
