Was at the game yesterday and for most of the game felt like a 50/50 game with Leeds players falling down like daisies and ref obliging to every decision. That said and sat in Bryan Clough stand so got a good view of it the wall was giving way to much space with glaring open net to aim at, even said at the time they giving Leeds and good opportunity here. When MGW took his chance moments later Leeds did not fall into that trap and made it as difficult as possible to get through. Sangare was an issue yesterday with too many clumsy passes often falling too short and wide. Cannot fault MGW or JESUS for effort but for me Jesus def operates better as second 10 in Glasner system so getting a more dynamic 20 goal scorer is essential. For me Wood is too static and just keeps waiting for balls chucked into empty spaces which again is not how a Glasner plays. My final thought on watching the game the game too often to slow or slowed down by the wingbacks – they need to be more aggressive and have confidence to take there man on more frequently.

Williams must play on the right. Playing him on the left with CHO in front is a massive error. They both want to cut inside, which makes the pitch narrow. A back three is designed to stretch the pitch to its full width across the midfield. Williams and CHO together create a vacant 'corridor' on the left side and which is also open for an opponent to use to counter attack.

Forest should sit down with Chris Wood and talk truth. Offer him the opportunity to retire and pay his final year's salary over four years with a retirement bonus as an incentive. Or, offer to release him from his final year and pay half the salary over two years. He then becomes a free agent and can look elsewhere for a final contract. He should decide if money is more valuable to him than his ability to walk when he's +50 years old. Every time he trains and plays he's degrading his knee that little bit more. He'll regret it when hiking in the beautiful landscapes of New Zealand comes to a premature end. You only live once Chris. Be smart.

This 3 at the back works for our centre halves, but conversely makes roughly half the 1st team squad redundant. Majority of the current squad is designed around wingers and full backs bombing on. By playing this formation Glasner is canning: Aina, CHO, Ndyio, Wood, Hutchinson, Bakwa, Sangare and fencing in MGW and Jesus. Change the system to suite the players for gods sake and not the other way around.
Brentford are a way better side. Why would he want to go to forest?

Attacking wise we are still in transition from the glory days of Nuno ball.
Defensively we are OK. We have a capable squad but no superstar attacker.
Opposition teams do not fear us home or away.
We need a big season or we are going to fall off. The core lads have been here for a while now and will be looking elsewhere unless we sign big and have a good season.
