Here’s the thing. The richest clubs have always won the most titles. Celebrating city getting punished is an acceptance we will never rejoin the elite. Other than bank balance city are nothing. Forest who weren’t even in the league 2009 to 2018 pretending they have a claim and pretending that they are a big club once again. Only four teams can sue City as they legally reserved their rights within the time period – Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs, Arsenal. Not a team not even in the same league.

It is solely for them to try and show there were procedural errors. They are using it to try and escape via a technicality like they did with UEFA.

I think we are a fair way down the list of clubs with a claim. Technically, every prem team over the last few years has a case and there is no way that can be unravelled. The unfortunate thing is the clubs with the strongest claim are likely to be those at the top who already have wads of cash anyway. I'm not sure how the premier league will deal with this and, whatever they do, there is no way they come out of this looking good.
