And the chants of "you're gonna get your fu….ng head kicked in" How we miss those😂
This is peak Nottingham Forest under the legendary Brian Clough – halcyon days 👏
Team sheet should really say Clough AND Taylor under the title of manager.
it wasn't just Brian Clough, Peter Taylor had a hand in it too
Man Utd still got decent crowds through the 70s and 80s when they were often pretty average. The old grounds were miles better than the new shiny soulless plastic all seater efforts. Some Forest side that
I was at that game and as a United fan a can say we got absolutely battered Forest were a great team that day ….
John Robertson, a winger with two good feet. No wide player exists like that nowadays.
December 17th got married watched it at the hotel
The crowd attendance must have been massive considering most are standing!
All British players! No exception, no south americans or frenchies. wonderful time.
How bad was Lou Macari
WELL DONE FOREST FOREST LOVE BURNLEY
I’m a West Brom fan and Willie Johnston our 70’s winger is my all time favourite player but I could watch John Robertson play all day long.
An amazing player, genius with the ball at his feet, his ability to go past players was unbelievable for a supposedly “fat/slow” player.
In my opinion, that 77-78 side was the best of all of the Forest sides, a joy to watch.
i was there that day and forest took us apart , it was boys against men and i think forest had a young team
It has to be said, Nottingham forest tore utd a brand new arsehole that day.😊
Not like kenny burns to do a reckless tackle !!😂
I cut David Needhams hair a few times in Spain where he lived.
I was there in the Stretford end. We were completely dismantled that day!
Oh look a cross 🤣🤪from a winger
I was there
Gemmill……
Oh HAPPY DAYS.
One substitute allowed, fast and furious football, British footballers and best of all, ONE commentator, (and Barry Davies, one of the best ever). He didn’t need an annoying ‘co-commentator’, waffling on and on about bugga’ all. Oh how I miss those days.
One touch football at a time when English football was mostly hack the legs, boot the ball up route one & assault the other team.
🌳❤
7:12 Withe without it! – simply awesome commentating, who entertains like that today?
We were a brilliant team,i had the best childhood growing up with this team and manager
And how did Viv Anderson not score that. He was great for sheff wed too.
I just want to mention Trevor Francis. He was a brilliant player, underated by some I think. I saw him when he was at Sheffield Wednesday. He was in a different class.
Coppell was head and shoulders above the rest of that Man Utd team – deserved to play in a better side tbh
There will never be another manager like Cloughie
The real man utd😂
"I Haven't felt that good since Archie Gemmill scored against Holland in 1978"
Was there that day , traveled over from Dublin , to watch United . Forest hammered us !
I believe there are six Scottish players on the pitch—three each for Manchester United and Nottingham Forest. Is that right? How times have changed!
8m15s… with the goalkeeper coming out, Anderson should've squared it left for the tap in…in my very humble opinion!
7m54s… Kenny Burns got away with that one! 😂
Third goal is the pick of the bunch for me. Man U were a good side at that time too.
From promotion to league champions then European champions twice in succession! What Clough and Taylor did was amazing (and having taken Derby to promotion then the league title too, neither very big or glamorous clubs).
Two tone yellow, they don't make kits like that any more!
Seems strange now passing back to the keeper, so he could handle the ball. Also the keepers smacking the ball into the opposition half instead of playing it out from the back. Seemed a better flow of the game to watch. Dear old Cloughie.
8:53. Go home yer bums
Go home yer bums
Go home yer bums
Go home
Brilliant Forest 😂
