If there's 9 other teams interested, there's a good chance we'd have to give up Smith or Misa rather than Bystedt. Don't think we're at the point yet where this makes sense. I know many people want to trade Smith but personally I'd rather hold onto him until we're actual contenders and hunting for the last key pieces. He'll probably have more value in 2-3 years time also.
Your thumbnail is such B.S. I hate this fake channel.
Love the new graphics, you guys have obviously put a lot of effort into them and it’s paid off!!
I like Edvinsson, but I don’t know if this is the right move to make for the sharks. Giving up the next two years of first round picks is risky considering we are 1 game above 500. I also think that the strength of this rebuild will come in being patient, which is why I was so against the offseason moves. The more we try and accelerate this rebuild, the more it condenses our window. Similar to the Predators a couple of offseason ago.
With multiple promising defensive prospects in the system as well as who we currently have on the active roster, I think we will be fine in the long term without making this trade
I would trade Misa and Orlov for Edvinsson and Larkin. Larkin is under contract for 5 years at $8.5 mil. He has averaged 70 points over the last 4 years. Edvinsson was the #6 pick in the draft not too long ago. Misa is going to cost more than Edvinsson.
Overall good idea, but where does he fit and who sits or gets moved? Great if it is orlov, but who will take him? No way Dickinson. They just traded fro for nurse and he has an NTC.
This is a stupid move before adding Smith but to mention the test if our top 6 which would get put into the sharks into cap hell any losing valuable pieces. So is a very stupid move endangering the future
If we trade Bystedt. Do we have any future centers that can fill in for Wennberg? Wennberg is getting older and within some years he needs to get replaced. If we give away 1st round picks then how will we get a center? Maybe convert Colin Graf to a centermen?
what we needed was to grab Hellebuyck
I don't disagree with you, but with all that being said, as a Sharks fan, we're nowhere near being Stanley Cup contenders yet. We need to focus on building our entire core instead of just developing Celebrini.
We have so many prospects who haven't even made their way up yet. Pohlkamp, Wang, Verhoeff, just to name a few. There's so much potential within this organization that it's honestly crazy how Warso can't seem to figure anything out.
The Kesselring-Nurse pairing clearly isn't working, and scratching Cagnoni and Allan at different times makes absolutely no sense, especially when those two have shown good chemistry together.
As much as people hated Trouba's contract, I'd argue Nurse and Orlov are the bigger problems on our blue line. At this point, scratch Nurse until he figures it out on defending or protecting Celebrini. Lmfao.
And Bystedt as trade bait? I wouldn't necessarily be against it. But you're telling me you'd throw Musty into that trade too? For Edmonton? And you'd actually be okay with that? That's a GNARLY take. 😂
You're also forgetting that Goodrow and Dellandrea haven't exactly been impressive. Musty could easily replace either one of them and arguably do a much better job. And don't even get me started on making Gaudette a healthy scratch when he's clearly been playing better than both of them.
At the end of the day, my biggest issue is Warso. This is a coaching problem. The guy can't seem to put together consistent lines or figure out which players actually have chemistry together.
And don't even get me started on how Graf keeps getting put in questionable lineups. The guy did an amazing job playing center against Ottawa, yet Warso can't seem to build on performances like that.
We're a rebuilding team with a ridiculous amount of young talent and potential. I'm not expecting a Stanley Cup overnight, but I am expecting a coach who knows how to develop that talent, establish chemistry, and build something sustainable.
We're supposed to be developing our future, not wasting opportunities trying to force combinations that clearly aren't working.
I would wait and see if they get to play the lottery at the end of the season
He’s a better version of Orlov. Trade Orlov Bystedt and a couple 1st rounders
Dope graphics!
LETS GOOOOOOOO
Yea they want Micheal misa probably
not at the cost of Smith, Misa, or Stenberg, so no. I know that is what it would cost.
Edvinsson is good, but if there's a d-man in detroit that would fit this sharks young squad. It's Sandin-Pellikka. Sharks need a skilled, pp threat d-man. Cags is good but Sandin-Pellikka has the potential to be a Karlsson.
I'd do the trade, but for 6 years for 9M. Those 3 negatives are too risky for me to hand out 10M for him
🍒 🍨 😋
I think it's too soon for the Sharks to go spending first round picks – let alone two – on roster upgrades. We have young defensemen coming. Rome wasn't built in a day. Wait a couple years and see where we stand before selling futures.
Looks legit to me
Just lets roll with what we got. We made our bed we lay in it
Not a realistic offer, Bystedt has no real value. They will want a Misa or Smith, a young top center. Maybe you could convince them to do Graf and Dicky, but I would hate that. No way Detroit doesn’t get a better offer than Bystedt and 1sts.
