  1. I bet Glasner has already begun to lose the dressing room. Hardly surprising as a few on the pitch yesterday were not happy. Glasner ball is a failure, it will not work. Get a proper manager in – Vitor being fired over Glasner was a stupid error of judgement.

  2. Another season of exhausting highs and lows, last week we were amazing, this week it's Glasner out.

Think the Vitor thing is a distraction, we will never know what will have happened, but it's often a good idea to look at the past. I am often surrounded by Wolves fans, all of which said the same thing, that VP would join Forest, provide an instant feel good factor to inspire a strong finish to our season. They nailed that.

Next, they said, it will fall apart. Remember, this is the manager who picked Wolves up and gave them their own great escape by lifting the mood and playing simple football. He then went on to win, if I remember correctly, 0 games before being sacked with Wolves looking nailed on to take Derby's record.

Would the same have happened? We do not and will never know. Looking at his record though it's not a huge stretch to think it could have.

Ultimately the board took the decision to bring in a highly rated, proven manager who would not have been available for long and set in motion (hopefully) a project to rebuild the side with a longer term view. We absolutely must not now panic, pull the plug, and start again. I am very far from a fan of our leadership, but I think they got this one right, doesn't mean it will work out, but to believe sticking with VP was the safe option and bringing in OG was a needless gamble, I just cannot get on board with that.

These players are either good enough or they're not. Going 4-4-2 and telling them they're perfect will only get them so far in a long, brutal season. That said though, I think we are still very much paying the price for the utterly disastrous recruitment last summer. Think people still are not recognising just how bad last summer was, including the way Nuno was managed.

Probably also worth considering that OG is still working on the side. A couple are still getting up to fitness, but it's likely Diomonde and Munoz will become starters and make a difference – Delap, Schlager, McAtee need minutes after hardly playing last season.

Think we really, really have to get to end of October before judging anything here. We have a brutal start to the season with a team and manager that need time to adapt to a new challenge. By then things should be more settled and the fixtures ease up a bit. If OG is sacked before then, what are we even doing, what's the point in any of this. We will 100% end up as that chaos club that circled the drain for a few years, then went through the trap door. We absolutely have to stop this cycle of instability, it's clearly had an impact on the squad, and it's almost certainly becoming, or will become, a barrier to quality new players joining.

If in May we've finished above 16th and still have the same manager it will be a successful season. Top 10 would be great but shouldn't be seen as a given. We then push on with another 4-5 strong additions to support Delap, wingbacks, centre midfield and a new goalkeeper. This is the transition season, next season will be the one that really matters. This is the first time in a long time I felt like there is an actual strategy in place. As fans we now have to be brave and we have to be patient.

  3. Poor passing , movement, and no creation or imagination . Tottenham looked like Barcelona zipping it around …luckily they had no real chances. Sels has to hit it long as our backs and midfield are so poor at passing it out

  4. we are set up wrong. this line up is square pegs being fit into round holes. gibbs white does score more up front but he goes missing and is not involved enough. he needs to drop deeper and get involved to create rather than go forward and try to score goals. macatee is simply not fitting in here into this forest line up

  5. Glasner seems to have extinguished the flame that was burning under Vitor, don’t forget this is the same group of players that went unbeaten for 8 games.I don’t blame Glasner I blame the MardyGreekBloke for bringing him in over Vitor. The players just doing what they told to do,there seems to be no room for enjoyment.

  6. I listened to the commentary, which doesn't always give a true idea, but I must admit to being increasingly worried. I'm not doubting the endeavour, seemed to be a lot of running around and solid tackling from both teams, but just two shots on target (both from Forest) in the entire game tells the story of two teams who aren't setting the world alight this year! Come on! We were playing at home against a team in shocking form with a very leaky defence. Spurs haven't scored yet this season, so it was unlikely we'd lose. All we needed to do was score a goal. Apart from the one which went in (didn't conclusively look handball to me on the highlights, but maybe VAR had a better angle) we really, really didn't look likely to score. We have very little threat going forward. Looked better when Munoz came on? Some decent deliveries then, I heard. That's 4 competitive games this season and we've failed to score in 3 of them or win any of them. Ange got 8 games without a win before he was shown the door. Glasner is halfway there. I'm guessing our impatient owner is already looking for potential replacements…. but it would have to be someone who plays 3 at the back as we've junked almost all of our wingers!

  7. We are not so bad team but Glasner's wrong decisions creates more problems for us than solutions. With couple changes in second half we looked ok . How he can start Ndoye and not Jesus . For how much longer he will get away with choose the wrong team

  8. Metz Sels long kicks are totally directionless and without purpose. I think none of his kicks found a player cleanly. It’s like he is showcasing his kicks out of narcissism. He needs to go.
