  1. Ireland were total garbage in the 1990 world cup, they didnt even win a game from play, only scored 2 goals in the entire tournament and yet they still made it to the quarter finals, long ball team thats all they are!!!

I agree with you,I'm really not trying to slag off your countrymen at all mate,I actually like the Irish.But i'm from Liverpool and I can't tell you how frustrating it is when your lot come over and start giving us the "Irish and Scousers are brothers" Love rant,They can't seem to understand that us true Liverpool fans who are from the local area do not see them as equals,I've been to Ireland many times and i've been to games between Bohemians and Shamrock Rovers and Dundalk ect. So please don't think i'm trying to insult the Irish.I'm just saying we see you's as tourists not fans.

  3. How many chances did Ireland make in those two matches in Euro 88 and here against England in 1990 World Cup?…Apart form the Houghton goal, Whelan hit the bar in '88', that was it… and here almost none again until Sheedy seized upon McMahon's mistake…
